How do I log a workout?+
Tap the + button on the bottom bar to open the workout builder. Enter the distance using the number pad, select a stroke chip, and tap 'Add Set'. Repeat for each set, then tap 'Save Workout' when done.
Does the app work offline?+
Yes! Swimmer's Notes has full offline support. Log workouts at the pool without WiFi — your data will automatically sync when you reconnect.
How do I add a personal best?+
Go to the Records tab and tap the + button. Select the stroke, distance, and course (SCY/SCM/LCM), enter your time in MM:SS.hh format, and optionally add the meet name.
What gear types can I track?+
You can track 8 types of swim gear: goggles, suit, cap, fins, paddles, snorkel, kickboard, and pull buoy. Each has a default lifespan threshold that you can customize.
How does gear mileage tracking work?+
When you log a workout, you can assign gear items to it. The workout distance is automatically added to each assigned gear item's total mileage. The progress bar shows how close the gear is to needing replacement.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?+
Free gives you unlimited workouts, personal bests, dashboard, offline mode, and up to 5 gear items. Pro adds unlimited gear, advanced analytics, CSV/PDF export, weekly digests, custom templates, and priority support.
Can I export my data?+
Data export (CSV and PDF) is available on the Pro plan. Go to Profile → Export Data to download your complete training history.
Is my data private and secure?+
Absolutely. Your data is stored in Firebase with per-user security rules — only you can access your workouts. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?+
You can cancel anytime through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) subscription settings. Your Pro features will remain active until the end of the billing period.
